September single family home sales in the Lake Sunapee Region were up significantly compared to September 2019. As in other parts of New Hampshire, homes newly listed on the market are continuing to go under contract quickly, causing much stress for many looking to buy. Summer is coming to an end for the season and fall is quickly approaching! Before you know it, the leaves will be turned, pumpkins will be on display and the air will be crisp. This year is different for us all, but there are still some fun events to enjoy. One great fall activity is apple picking and there are plenty of local places to go. August 2020 single-family homes sales came in at a total of 88 sales. This is down by five from August 2019 which had 93 home sales. Both the median list price and the median sales price significantly increased from 2019. Total single-family homes sold in the month of July 2020 totaled 100 sales. This is up by 25 sales compared to July 2019 with 75 homes sold. The median sold price for the month was also up significantly at $318,350 compared to $255,000 in 2019, and the average days on market (DOM) dropped from 82 DOM to 65 DOM.
