Today, we’re excited to introduce you to someone who brings the energy, heart and deep love for the Lake Sunapee Region to every client experience: Josh Lizotte. With years of real estate experience and nearly two decades of calling this area home he is the kind of person who can tell you exactly what makes each corner of our region special. From his practical advice for first-time buyers to his passion for community service and his knack for finding the best comfort food, here is a fun look into Josh’s world.
Q: How many years have you been in Real Estate?
A: 7 years!
Q: What’s your favorite thing about helping people buy or sell in the Lake Sunapee Region?
A: I love being able to share all the things that made me fall in love with this area 17 years ago. Each client gives me a chance to highlight the charm and community that make the region such a special place to call home.
Q: If you could give first time homebuyers one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: Consider a multi-family! It’s a fantastic way to build equity, create long-term stability and set yourself up for future opportunities.
Q: What’s your favorite local restaurant?
A: Poor Thom’s Tavern - cozy and delicious.
Q: Coffee Order – What’s your go-to?
A: Hot and black. Simple, strong and straight to the point!
Q: Ice Cream flavor that never disappoints?
A: Maple Whiskey - because New Hampshire maple makes everything better.
Q: Favorite New England day trip (outside of the area)?
A: The White Mountains, especially the Jackson / Conway area.
Q: Go-to comfort food during the chilly months?
A: Homemade mac & cheese. Nothing beats it when the temperatures drop.
Q: Skiing, Snowshoeing, or apres-ski, where will we find you?
A: Honestly, Next to my woodstove with a hot cup of coffee. That’s my kind of apres ski.
Q: Favorite Holiday Tradition?
A: Gathering with my family for amazing homemade meals and much needed together time.
Q: What was your very first job?
A: Working at a local mom & pop gas station.
Q: Are you involved with any local charities, schools, or community groups?
A: Yes! I’m proud to serve with the New London Fire Department and stay active with Trinity Bible Church.
Q: Tell us a little about your family and pets.
A: Josh and his wife have three wonderful kids and a lively household that includes one dog, two cats, a horse, a few goats, and sometimes it feels like a partridge in a pear tree!
Q: What’s one location that’s on your bucket list?
A: Italy. Specifically the food, it’s calling my name.
