Meet Lori Meding: Local Real Estate Expert in the Lake Sunapee Region

This week, we are excited to shine the spotlight on Lori Meding, a true local who brings both heart and experience to every client she works with. With 14 years in real estate and deep roots in the Lake Sunapee Region, Lori has a genuine appreciation for this community and the people who call it home. Whether she is guiding buyers toward the right fit or helping sellers move confidently into their next chapter, Lori approaches every transaction with care, patience, and a steady hand. Let’s get to know her a little better.

Q: How many years have you been in Real Estate?
A: 14 years! It has been a rewarding journey of learning the market, building relationships, and helping people through some pretty big life moments.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about helping people buy or sell in the Lake Sunapee Region?
A: I love meeting new people and matching them with the right house. For sellers, it is helping them start their next chapter with as little stress as possible. Being part of that transition is really meaningful to me.

Q: If you could give first time homebuyers one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: You may be approved to finance more than you are comfortable spending each month. Put those extra funds away for future upgrades as you grow into your home. It is nice to have that flexibility later on.

Q: Ice Cream flavor that never disappoints?
A: Pistachio. It is a classic that never gets old for me.

Q: Book or podcast you have loved recently?
A: The Correspondent audiobook. I really enjoyed listening to it and getting lost in the story during downtime.

Q: Favorite New England day trip (outside of the area)?
A: Long Trail Brewery in Bridgewater, Vermont. The drive over is beautiful, and it makes for a great day trip.

Q: What’s your favorite fall activity in the Lake Sunapee Region?
A: A walk in the woods. There is nothing better than fresh air and fall colors.

Q: Go to comfort food during the chilly months?
A: Spaghetti. It is easy, comforting, and always hits the spot on a cold day.

Q: Best local spot to shop for holiday gifts?
A: Artisan’s. It is a great place to find unique gifts and support local.

Q: Skiing, snowshoeing, or apres ski, where will we find you?
A: Ragged Mountain is my favorite. It has always been a go to spot for me during the winter months.

Q: What was your very first job?
A: My first real job was as a station agent for a small airline, which taught me a lot about working with people.

Q: Tell us a little about your family and pets.
A: I have a grown son who lives and works for a tech company in Massachusetts. I am really proud of him.

Q: How do you like to unwind after a busy day?
A: A glass of red wine is my favorite way to relax and reset in the evening.

Q: What’s one location that is on your bucket list?
A: Costa Rica. It has always been a place I have wanted to explore.

Lori’s love for this region runs deep, and it shows in the way she supports her clients through every step of their real estate journey. We are grateful to have her on our team and know our clients feel the same. If you are thinking about buying or selling in the Lake Sunapee Region, Lori would love to connect and help you get started. Be sure to check back soon as we continue highlighting the amazing people behind the O’Halloran Group.
