One of the best parts of summer in the Lake Sunapee Region is slowing down and enjoying everything our local farms have to offer. Whether you're picking up just picked vegetables for dinner, gathering a bouquet of fresh flowers, stocking up on maple syrup, or discovering a roadside stand you've never noticed before, shopping locally is one of the simplest ways to support the people who make our communities so special.

  Destination Farm Stands & Markets

Spring Ledge Farm | New London

A beloved part of the New London community for generations, Spring Ledge Farm is much more than a farm stand. Throughout the growing season you'll find an incredible selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, locally made products, beautiful hanging baskets, and one of the area's most popular Pick Your Own flower gardens.

Depending on the season, visitors can also enjoy strawberry picking, CSA shares, greenhouse plants, and in winter, choose the perfect Christmas tree. It's the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to again and again.

Nalla Farm | Wilmot

Located along Route 4A in Wilmot, Nalla Farm is a family owned farm with a passion for growing healthy, high quality food. Since opening in 2020, Nalla Farm has built a reputation for exceptional produce, beautiful flowers, and a genuine commitment to sustainable farming practices.

The roadside farm stand is open from May through October and offers bedding plants in the spring, followed by fresh vegetables, fruits, cut flowers, and other seasonal offerings throughout the summer and fall. Visitors can also join the farm's CSA or find Nalla Farm each week at the Wilmot Farmers Market.

Yankee Farmer's Market | Warner

If you're looking for a true farm experience, Yankee Farmer's Market is worth the drive. Open year round, this working farm welcomes visitors to shop where the buffalo roam while browsing one of the area's best selections of locally raised meats and New Hampshire made products.

The farm store is stocked with buffalo, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, elk, venison, wild caught fish, and a wide variety of locally produced pantry items and specialty foods. Visitors can also meet the farm's buffalo, cattle, and goats, making this a fun stop for the whole family.

Whether you're filling your freezer, shopping for locally raised meats, or simply exploring the countryside, Yankee Farmer's Market is a destination you'll want to visit again.

Beaver Pond Farm | Newport

Located along John Stark Highway between Newport and Claremont, Beaver Pond Farm is a family owned farm offering fresh produce, local products, and seasonal Pick Your Own experiences.

Their farm store is stocked with fresh, locally grown goods, while a short drive brings visitors to fields where they can pick blueberries, raspberries, and apples during harvest season. As a diversified farm, Beaver Pond Farm also raises livestock while continuing a tradition of sustainable farming and supporting the local community.

 Roadside Gems Worth the Stop

Whether you're taking a scenic drive around the Lake Sunapee Region or simply heading home with dinner in mind, these roadside gems are well worth pulling over for. From colorful flower stands and homemade baked goods to fresh vegetables, maple syrup, and locally made products, each stop offers something uniquely local.

French Meadow Farm | Wilmot

Nestled beneath the beautiful backdrop of Mount Kearsarge, French Meadow Farm is a small flower farm where every bloom is thoughtfully nurtured from seed to vase. Their self-serve farm stand offers seasonal bouquets of freshly cut flowers, hardy perennials, culinary herbs, and homegrown vegetables. It's the perfect place to brighten your home or surprise someone with a locally grown bouquet.

Lake Sunapee Flower Farm | Newbury

Another favorite for flower lovers, Lake Sunapee Flower Farm offers locally grown seasonal blooms throughout the growing season. Availability changes with what's in bloom, so be sure to check their Facebook page for the latest updates before heading out to pick up a fresh bouquet.

Boulder Meadows Farm | Sutton

Boulder Meadows Farm offers high quality, pasture raised pork and farm fresh eggs, along with homemade jams, local honey and other seasonal offerings. Committed to thoughtful and sustainable farming practices, this small family farm is a wonderful roadside stop in the Lake Sunapee Region. 

Slow Season | Sutton

A favorite among locals, Slow Season offers farm fresh baked goods, garden vegetables, maple syrup, jams, and jellies. It's the kind of place where you'll almost always find something delicious to bring home.

Musterfield Farm | Sutton

Once the growing season begins, Musterfield Farm opens its seasonal farm stand featuring fresh vegetables harvested throughout the summer and fall. Visitors will also find locally produced honey and handmade greeting cards, making this charming stop much more than your typical roadside stand.

Moonlit Farm | Sutton

Moonlit Farm's store is a hidden gem for anyone looking to stock up on locally raised foods and homemade favorites. Visitors will find pork, beef, seasonal poultry, fresh eggs, maple syrup, raw milk, butter, homemade sauces, jams, jellies, pickled vegetables, and fresh seasonal produce, all in one convenient stop.

The farm also offers custom butchering services, making it a valuable resource for local residents throughout the year.

  More Roadside Finds

One of the best parts of exploring the Lake Sunapee Region is stumbling upon a roadside stand you weren't expecting. Every season seems to bring a few new discoveries, from fresh baked goods and homemade treats to seasonal produce, flowers, and handcrafted products.

As you're out exploring, keep an eye out for local favorites like Gooseberry Bakery Farmstand in Newbury, known for its fresh baked pies and breads, or Mr. Fuzzypants & Friends in Sutton, a charming stop for coffee, cookies, and other homemade baked treats.
