We could not be happier to share that Anne Marie Appel has been named the New Hampshire Association of Realtors (NHAR), Realtor of the Year.
In June, Anne Marie was selected as Realtor of the Year by the Sunapee Region Board of Realtors. Each of New Hampshire’s 14 local boards recognizes one member with this honor, and from those 14 recipients, NHAR selects one person for the statewide award.
It is an incredible honor and one that feels especially fitting for someone who has given so much of her time, experience and energy to the real estate profession and the people around her.
Realtor of the Year recognition goes beyond sales or production, recognizing professional accomplishments, involvement within the Realtor organization and contributions to the community.
Since becoming licensed in 2007, Anne Marie has continually stepped forward to serve her profession. She served as President of the Sunapee Region Board of Realtors in 2021 and remains actively involved today as a member of its Board of Directors and Finance Committee, as well as Chair of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Committee. Through that work, she has helped lead numerous fundraising efforts supporting local organizations including Kearsarge Regional Ecumenical Ministries, Kearsarge Lake Sunapee Community Food Pantry, Newport Food Pantry and Warner Food Pantry.
Her involvement has also extended statewide through the New Hampshire Association of Realtors. In recent years, Anne Marie has served as Member Liaison, as a member of the Executive Committee, a member of Public Policy Committee, and as Chair of the Communications Committee. Throughout that work, she has been generous with her knowledge, willing to take on responsibility and always ready to support those around her. She cares deeply about the profession and the people within it, and brings that same care, attention to detail and commitment to her clients, her colleagues and our team.
Anne Marie has previously been named the Sunapee Region Realtor of the Year in both 2018 and 2023. To now be recognized at the state level makes this honor especially meaningful.
Those of us who work with Anne Marie see the qualities behind this recognition every day, and her clients do too. Again and again, they describe her as knowledgeable, patient, responsive and incredibly thorough. They talk about the confidence she brings to the process, the way she keeps things moving when challenges arise, and how supported they feel from beginning to end. She takes pride in doing things well and in helping the people around her succeed.
